Pico Neo 3 Link Review: A good start for Bytedance in the consumer market

Today I finally review for you the Pico Neo 3 Link! I had a lot of delays in writing this article (sorry Pico, sorry VR community), but I promise you that it will be deep and detailed… as you like the posts on my website 🙂 Pico Neo 3 Link Video Review For the ones of you that don’t like walls of text, I have prepared an extensive video review of the unit, where I talk about all its features, and I compare them with the ones of the Quest 2 and the Pico Neo 3 Pro. If you prefer reading instead, well, go on! “Rock Life: The Rock Simulator” review: What the VR community asked for is here

While yesterday the VR community was on fire because of the new anti-modding update of VRChat and the price rise of the Quest 2, I was discovering a little gem of VR gaming, suggested to me by my friend Dario of Cybermachine Studios. The game is called “Rock Life: The Rock Simulator” and it promises to be a little revolution both for VR and for pancake gaming. Let me tell you more about it. Go on if you prefer reading the usual textual review, insteadGameplay be the rockIn “Rock Life: The Rock Simulator”, you play as a rock. You enter the VR world and you find yourself in a small land full of grass, with a rock in front of you. You can’t move, you can’t do anything, because you are a rock yourself. But you can

On|Metaverse: The lessons I learned organizing a physical event about VR

On Thursday, April 21st, in Italy there has been the first edition of the On|Metaverse Summit, an amazing hybrid event of which I have been a co-organizer. It’s been the first time I worked on such an ambitious conference, so let me tell you something more about it and about the lessons I’ve learned in the process… especially for what concerns the differences between organizing physical and digital/VR events! (Yes, this is one of those days when I write a long informative post about a personal experience I had… have fun reading this during your weekend!)

My predictions for augmented reality in 2022

After having written my predictions for virtual reality for this year, it’s time for me to dig into what is happening in the next months in augmented reality. As I always say about my predictions, I’m not sure they will turn out to be true (and honestly, many times this hasn’t happened), but for sure they identify some trends to keep an eye on. So this post can be a good read to evaluate what is currently happening in the industry, and think about what could happen next. If you want to read better predictions about AR, I advise you to follow Tom Emrich, since he usually writes great posts on the topic! That said, let’s dig into my super predictions.

My predictions for virtual reality in 2022

As always in January I like to play the speculation game and make my personal predictions for augmented and virtual reality for the new year (2022, in this case). The difference between the two is becoming always more blurred, but for this year I prefer keeping them separate because they still have different markets. I can’t guarantee that these predictions will come out to be true (I always joke about the fact that I miss many of the predictions about Meta/Oculus), but I think they will be worth reading anyway to understand what can be the trends to look for in this new year. So… let’s start! This is still the situation in this first part of 2022We all know the Gartner hype cycle of emergent technologies: they are initially overhyped, then undervalued, and finally, they fulfill their potential and become popular and useful. The M-verse will follow the same

Holoride details its in-car VR entertainment system and the opportunities for content creators [Exclusive]

I’ve had the immense pleasure of interviewing Marcus Kuehne from Holoride, one of the most interesting and original XR startups out there: they provide in-car entertainment via VR headsets, with the VR content that has the movements synchronized with the actual movements of the car. I’m following Holoride since when it has been one of the most popular XR companies at CES 2019, and I have even had the pleasure of trying its product at AWE USA some weeks ago. That’s why I wanted so much to speak with people from the company to ask them more details about the company, its vision, its stance of safety, and the opportunity for us developers in creating products for their platform. This exclusive interview contains all of this, and through it, you can discover almost everything you need to know about Holoride. The first part of the interview is about the company
